First Response is a registered charity, therefore it receives no official funding from the
MOD or NHS. Although First Response does receive support form both, it's
funding primarily comes from charity events, corporate
sponsorship and donations from the public and from within the community that it operates
in.
To establish a First Response Scheme it requires a large amount of initial financial support.
This money can help provide the initial vehicle, equipment, uniform and
covers many other additional admin costs involved in the recruitment and
training of applicants & potential responders. Continued support is also
required to replace kit and to develop skills in order to maintain the
highest clinical skills to operate with the ambulance service.
Ultimately by supporting First Response in the East of England you are helping to support, sustain and maintain a team of volunteers who give up their own time to support the Ambulance Service and helping save lives in the local community.

You can donate to First Response teams directly if you see us at one of our fundraising events
suported by local businesses such as Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury Supermarkets.
